ON ONOMATOPOEIC WORDS IN THE ALTAI LANGUAGE WITH IMITATION OF SOUNDS MADE BY HUMAN OR OTHER LIVING CREATURES

The article discusses the semantic features of onomatopoeic words that reproduce sounds made by humans or other living creatures. This includes thematic groups of words that imitate sounds made not only by humans, but also by animals, birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians. The semantics of this category of words does not depend on intonation, is understandable without gestures and facial expressions, for the most part these are non-derived words, but when repeating the same or similar sound complexes, they can be derived words.
