THE STATUS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS-ALOGISMS IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE CONCEPTION OF V.V. VINOGRADOV AND THEIR REPRESENTATION IN THE “RUSSIAN-ENGLISH DICTIONARY OF IDIOMS” BY S. LUBENSKУ

The article is devoted to the study of a special linguistic phenomenon – russian phraseological units-alogisms – in their comparison with English equivalents of these phraseological units presented in the dictionary of S. Lubensky. The article reveals the status of phraseological units-alogisms in the classification of phraseological units by V.V. Vinogradov. In this article the question of the mechanism of emergence of such a special linguistic construction is discussed, the lexicographic representation of phraseological units-alogisms in S. Lubensky’s dictionary is considered. This study allows to identify culturally significant objects, animals, body parts, etc. and the situations created around them, the illogical transformation of which is usually used in Russian phraseology to visualize abstract anomalous phenomena, as well as the corresponding situations depicted in their English equivalents.
