ABOUT ROBBERY IN THE NORTHERN COUNTIES OF RUSSIA IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XVII CENTURY

The article is devoted to the issues of robbery in the northern counties of Russia in the first half of the XVII century. In the presented material, the social composition of robber groups is considered and their scale is shown. The document flow of local voivodes with a Robbery order to ensure the security of territories is described. The main objects for robber attacks are listed and the focus of their criminal activity on waterways is highlighted.
