THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE IMAGES OF TURKNAZ AND TURKTAS IN NIZAMI GANJAVI'S POEM "SEVEN BEAUTIES" AND THE FAIRY-TALE STORY ABOUT THE "LADY OF THE CASTLE" WITH THE TURKIC TRADITION OF THE EPIC

The great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi (1141-1209), as in other works included in the "Khamsa", systematically used elements of Turkic folklore in his poem "Seven Beauties" (1196) in accordance with his concept of Turkic national identity. The poet vividly embodied the Turkism of the main characters of the fairy tale told by an Indian beauty. The name of the Shah - Turktaz means "attacking Turks", and the name of the fairy - Turknaz means "capricious Turk". According to Nizami, the name Turktaz represents the whole way of life of the Turkic ethnic group. With this name, Nizami shows that the Turks are tireless, warlike and stubborn in the struggle, both for national and personal goals. The name Turknaz shows that the Turks are an invincible people. According to the poet, the Turks are a people who fight for great humane goals and bring peace and tranquility to the peoples. Nizami created female images that reflect the typological features of female heroes in the Turkic folklore tradition.
