THE POLICY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE IN REGULATING THE FUNCTIONING OF MAJORATES ON THE TERRITORY OF BELARUS IN THE XIXTH CENTURY

The work analyzes the main legislative acts that determined the policy of the tsarist government regarding the functioning of primordial land ownership, as the largest inherited land property on the territory of Belarus in the 19th century. The forms of its legal regulation are identified. The author has proven the unpromising existence of majorates during the period of implementation of bourgeois reforms and the development of capitalism in the second half of the 19th century. identifying features in the implementation of legislation on the disposal of landowners' estates on the territory of Belarus. Based on the principles of the dialectical method (historicism, concreteness, scientific objectivity) and the introduction of archival materials into scientific circulation, the author showed the influence of the internal political situation and bourgeois reforms in the Belarusian lands on the implementation of a number of laws to streamline private land law. The author determined that on the territory of Belarus there was a gradual adaptation of legislation in the field of private land law to capitalist relations
