ISSUES OF DESEMANTIZATION OF SIGNIFICANT WORDS AS ONE OF THE WAYS OF FORMING THE FUNCTIONALITY OF LINGUISTIC UNITS

The article covers the issues of one of the types of desemantization of lexical units, which represents the grammaticalization of significant words with their transition to the class of auxiliary ones. As you know, the main function of function words is the connecting function. The problem of function words is associated with the lexico-grammatical classification of the original nominatives, the derivatives of which are some function words. The sematic structure of a sentence, which is the result of the process of adding meanings in a complete utterance, influences the formation of the functionality of lexical units belonging to different parts of speech. Full-meaning words, under the influence of semantic-syntactic conditions, begin to be used as service units. As is known, linguistic units belonging to various significant parts of speech go into the category of function words. The article discusses some issues related to the process, such as the desemantization of significant words belonging to the class of adjectives and participles with a generalized meaning within the framework of a certain construction - N1+Adj+prép.+N2, which is widely represented in modern French. This construction is an expression of the highest degree of actualization of the service connecting function in a statement and is a reflection of various stable subject relations, such as possessive-qualifying and spatio-temporal.
