SYMBOLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE FLOWER IN RUSSIAN AND CHINESE LINGUO-CULTURES

The article deals with the symbolic understanding of the flower in Russian and Chinese linguo-cultures on the material of phraseological units, proverbs and sayings. The comparative analysis of the culturally marked lexeme flower reveals similarities and differences in the ideas of both peoples about the flower and specific types of flowers, reflects national and cultural values and mentality features of the Russian and Chinese peoples.
