The article examines such aspects of the economic contractual activity of patrimonial estates as leasing of lands and fishing grounds, granting newcomers the right to use their lands on a permanent and mutually beneficial basis (in the latter case, this led to the emergence of the village of Akbashevo). All this activity required the manifestation of enterprise and numerous contacts with the Russian population, who were the main tenants of the fishing grounds. When we talk about the history of tatar entrepreneurship, we must remember this.
