ON THE PROBLEM OF LEXICOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF THE ARABIC-RUSSIAN DICTIONARY OF KH. BARANOV

This work is devoted to some shortcomings and problems of lexicographic processing of the sixth Arabic-Russian dictionary by H. K. Baranov, supplemented and corrected by V. Kostin, 2007. It presented the results of an analysis of some elements of the macrostructure of the dictionary (selection of vocabulary, the nature of the dictionary) and its microstructure (structure of a dictionary entry: reflection of the compatibility of words). In the course of the work, shortcomings were identified regarding the input language of the dictionary, stylistic marks and compatibility or examples of the use of many polysemantic words. The results of the study can serve as the basis for correcting and expanding the dictionary being studied and any Arabic-Russian dictionary.
