In the Even language, homonymy is a frequent phenomenon affecting all parts of speech. Nevertheless, it has not yet been the subject of targeted research to date, although this phenomenon is described in the university textbook on the Even language. The compilers of the Even-Russian dictionary also sought to emphasize the significance of homonymic series in their works. Naturally, not all lexical material is presented, and not all homonymous words are described. For this reason, the classification of different types of homonymous words, of different parts of speech, the analysis of their structure, and the ways of their origin are currently one of the important tasks of the Even language. Therefore, the significance of researching lexical homonymy in the Even language and defining its homonymic series is, in our opinion, indisputable. The sources of this lexical material include dictionaries, textbooks, and the author's materials.
