THE SHAMANIC IMAGE OF THE LOON IN THE BELIEFS OF THE YAKUTS AND OTHER PEOPLES OF SIBERIA: ANALYSIS OF THE DIGITIZED EXHIBIT

The article examines the sacred semantics of the image of the loon in the beliefs of the Yakuts and other peoples of North Asia. Based on the analysis of ethnographic sources, the cosmogonic role of the demiurge bird, as well as related taboos, is revealed. The practical part of the work is based on the analysis of an exhibit of a wooden figure of a loon digitized by photogrammetry from the collections of the "Taatta" Museum. The created three-dimensional model allowed for a technological analysis of the exhibit. During the study of the model, traces of manual woodworking with an adze were recorded, as well as signs of ritual usage were revealed.
