Sight translation & its role in translators training

The article deals with sight translation as a separate form of translation/interpreting trade. The author distinguishes the specific traits of sight translation. The article attempts to demolish view on sight translation as a pedagogical tool. It cites as examples those settings where interpreters must be competent to work in sight translation.
