When studying the status of certain categories of Adyghe society, in particular, the peasantry, such kind of sources as ADATs is of great importance. In the first half of the XIX century ADATs remained the main regulator of social relations and consideration of the status of "free" Adyghe peasantry through it will allow to reveal more deeply the features of the situation of this category of population.
