The article deals with previously undescribed or little-known works of V. G. Ruban, deposited in the personal collection of G. R. Derzhavin. The influence of the poet's biography on his work is studied. The thematic content of the poems, their cultural and historical significance are analyzed. Circumstances of writing, features of appearance in Fund of the Tambov regional universal scientific library named of A. S. Pushkin.
