Social and living conditions of gas pipeline builders in Western Siberia in the 50-60s of the XX century

This article discusses the period of formation of the gas transportation system in the North of the Tyumen region. The subject of the study is the social and living conditions of gas pipeline builders in Western Siberia. The lack of knowledge of social conditions, personnel issues, and everyday life of the conquerors of the gas virgin land is the novelty of the article. Historical sources of the state archive of socio-political history of the Tyumen region, the state archive of the Tyumen region, and the Russian state archive of Economics were involved. A historiographical analysis of the study subject is made. According to the analysis, it is worth noting that despite the most difficult living conditions, personnel problems, industrial facilities were handed over on time and the largest "gas arteries" were built.
