Educational potential of physical culture and sports in the conditions of reformatory changes in the university space

The article presents a description of the manifestation of the educational effect of the subject "Physical Culture and Sports" in modern university education. It is shown that traditional approaches to the described phenomenon, which have now been transferred from the previous model of education, do not contribute to the full disclosure of the potential of this subject. The ideological load of the subject, its movement to the periphery of the interests of students, its excessive applied nature, is not perceived by the current generation of young people to the right extent. Having lost mainly the practical potential of its content, physical culture and sports are forced out of the core of young people's preferences. While remaining a popular practice due to natural causes, physical culture and sports in the university space can become the most important educational phenomenon, provided that its content is presented through the research interest of the joint activities of students and teachers. In the case of a joint study of the natural, bodily component of an individual's life, a special kind of communication field arises, within which it is possible to teach students the basics of life support and in which the author of an individual development trajectory is the subject of development. Through the presented optics, the subject "Physical culture and sport" becomes an essential factor in the socialization of the personality of students. Deep transformational shifts in the system of higher education in modern conditions require a search for answers to emerging problems, which is possible on the way to rethinking familiar phenomena presented through a different optics. This approach helps to reveal the potential of familiar objects, presenting them in a new perspective.
