The article discusses the possibilities of additional education during the summer holidays in nomadic camps, where children of the indigenous peoples of the North, the Evens, study their native language and culture. Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has successfully introduced the work of a nomadic camp – a temporary educational organization since 2000. The model of a nomadic camp is one of the innovative forms in the field of education and enlightenment in the North. Methods and technologies of ethnopedagogics are applied in the nomadic camp. The organizer of the nomadic camp is considering the introduction of other forms of additional education for children, one of which is teaching mathematics.
