The article considers the actual problem of socialization and integration into society of persons with disabilities through physical education and adaptive sports.
A study of the main problems of the development of the direction "dancing in wheelchairs" of the KGBU "Khabarovsk Regional Sports and Adaptive School of the Paralympic and Deaflympics Reserve" was carried out.
The novelty of this article, in comparison with other related articles, is the consideration of the development of wheelchair dancing as an adaptive sport in the context of the relationship between the implementation of the federal project "Sport is the norm of life" and the state program "Accessible Environment".
The results of the study can serve as material for further study of this topic, as well as form the basis of methods and ways to solve problems related to the development of adaptive sports in the city of Khabarovsk.
