The article discusses the features and problems of the implementation of cultural education; its importance in modern society is determined. The problems of the influence of the disciplines of the culturological block on the formation of the student's personal qualities remain in the field of attention of many scientists. Mastering the disciplines of the culturological cycle is not a simple memorization of facts from the field of achievements of human civilization, but the active development of the role of the creator of one's own cultural reality, interacting with the surrounding socio-cultural world and making each person an active subject of the historical process. Culturally oriented objects allow one to master other, other-scientific forms of cognition, thereby forming a holistic harmonious personality. These disciplines aim the educational process not only at the formation of widely enlightened, but also humane people.
