The foreign policy of Nicholas I in modern school history textbooks

The aim of the work is to present the foreign policy of Nicholas I in Russian historiography and its representation in modern school textbooks of the history of Russia. Nicholas I's exceptional historiography on issues and events of foreign policy of the 2nd half of the 19th century found its way into pre-revolutionary, Soviet and Russian historiography. The main works on historiography on international issues of the second quarter of the 19th century are analyzed. and with the help of a historiographic analysis of the selected events of the period to be disclosed in an educational publication. The main characteristics of the events of foreign policy communication between the Russian Empire and other countries are revealed. Examples of the reflection of foreign policy issues in modern scientific manuals on national history are given and their representation in the specialties of domestic historiographic research is given. Conclusions are drawn about the prevalence of patients with the appearance of the foreign policy of Nicholas I in modern history textbooks. The results of the study contribute to the development of the scientific direction of studying history textbooks as historiographic sources and are used for research or in the preparation of theoretical materials for practical classes in higher educational institutions for the period of the 2nd quarter of the 19th century.
